The Iran and Africa Business Club hosted a high-level Senegalese business delegation

In March 2023, the Iran and Africa Business Club, as the executive arm of Al-Fajr International Holding, hosted a high-level Senegalese business delegation. The members of this delegation, who were among the first-rate businessmen of Senegal in various fields, were present in Tehran under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Sheikh Cisse, the High Economic Adviser to the Honorable President of Senegal and also the President of the Senegalese Trade Union.

During the ten-day stay of this trade delegation in Iran, with the help of Iran and Africa Business Club, its members were able to visit and held meetings with companies and factories that have the ability and capacity to supply the goods and services needed in Senegal.

Senegal, which is known as the gateway to West African markets become a target market for many businessmen who are interested in doing business in the African continent countries due to its strategic geographical location as well as the political stability and social security prevailing in the country. In addition, Senegal not only has a market of 17 million people, but for the reasons mentioned above, it is considered a place for re-export to all West African countries.

Senegal has a large market in food industries, for example, the import of 150 million euros of industrial powdered milk to this country in 2022 can be mentioned. In addition, due to the existence of national policies to modernize the taxi fleet of Dakar, the capital of Senegal, and then to modernize the transportation fleet of the entire country in a ten-year period, it provides a good opportunity to provide Iranian cars to the automobile manufacturing companies. From another point of view, due to the existence of many territorial capacities and mines in this country, 90% of which have not yet reached the exploitation stage, it is considered a good destination for providing technical-engineering services.

Therefore, according to the needs of their country, this trade delegation visited industrial and engineering units with the necessary capacity. Among the food industries this trade delegation visited are Zar Industrial Group, Behnoosh Iran, Pegah and Shirin Asal companies respectively. And after that, meetings and visits in the car supply chain were held in Saipa and Iran Khodro factories to conduct the necessary negotiations. In addition, another meeting was held in the area of providing industrial services and large-scale engineering projects with the managers of Toos Asphalt and MMTE companies. Which led the members of this trade delegation to know and welcome the wide capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

A visit to a factory that produces food packaging, construction materials, CCTV cameras and flooring is also included in the ten-day program organized by the Iran and Africa Business Club for this high-level Senegalese delegation. With the aim of developing and expanding the level of trade relations between Iran and African countries, Al-Fajr International Holding announces its readiness to provide commercial services and complete the supply chain in both destinations to help Iranian and African businessmen.
